Former leader of the Green party

Caroline Lucas became a vice president of Railfuture after speaking at our London conference in 2008 and being elected leader of the Green party.

In 2010, she was elected to the House of Commons as Britain's first Green party MP. She represents Brighton Pavilion.

The Green party is very supportive of rail and also believes there should be a 55mph speed limit on Britain's motorways.

Caroline Lucas is a graduate of Exeter University and is a mother of two.
