During these school festive season holidays, let your mother never have to prepare for the worst and be reminded four years on. Leave 'the sparks effect' to the trains, keep your life on track by staying off Network Rail's, whether you're in the west, or you're in the south-east, or you're in the south-west, or you're in West Yorkshire, or you're in the Wales and Borders area, or you're anywhere between London and Carlisle, or you're anywhere in East Anglia, or you're in the Southend area, or you're in Norwich, or you're in Ipswich, even if you're in Cambridge, and note keeping people safe on and around the railway: Always On, Suicide Prevention, Trespass, Level Crossing Safety, Keeping a Clear Head.
New timetables trigger warning to level crossing users in Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Parents, watch this to realise what can happen; please hold on and keep pushchairs on platforms! Motorists, watch this if you want to avoid an 18-month driving ban, 150 hours of unpaid work, and a £1000 compensation bill. ALWAYS ON - STAY OFF to STAY ALIVE.
Youngsters, please don't be shocked. Life-saving interventions, in the North West and West Midlands, in the Thames Valley, across East Anglia, in the South West and the South East, and in Wales.
Trespass warning issued to children for holidays, advice to parents about children's safe use of level crossings, WARNING to parents after crossing abuse, kids identify risks VIDEO, and winner of nationwide schools poster competition is a 9-year-old. Watch the South East VIDEO, the Anglia VIDEO, or the Manchester VIDEO. See new mobile warning systems in Scotland. It's just not cool to be a near Miss, and this guy's on a roll - but not in a good way: VIDEO. Nine times "YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!" Even a Sussex school minibus driver sets a bad example, while an Essex schoolgirl draws up a safety lesson, yet Hertfordshire school children dance with death danger and Surrey schoolkids asked to remove headphones, stay alert.
One more safer level crossing, another upgraded, one has had gates repaired after vehicle damage, one has new barriers while another has new warning systems, and another has safety proposals revised, but one has had to be closed temporarily after safety measures were ignored, and another had to be CLOSED after a near-miss but has now re-opened, under caution. In Wales, two new bridges enable eight level crossings to be closed. On Brighton Main Line, footbridge to replace footpath level crossing. In Scotland, a new footbridge replaces a level crossing, and after a fatality an open crossing becomes a half-barrier crossing, for eventual replacement by a bridge. In North Yorkshire a farm crossing is closed after a fatality so be S.A.F.E.R. especially on user-worked crossings. Watch Anguish in Angmering VIDEO. By George, Formby! Losing your Fisherman's friend? Safety improvements on A897 to Forsinard level crossing, and Give 'em an Insch..... Another safer crossing of the railway at Hagley, West Midlands, and on the Lea Valley line in Broxbourne. Please Drive safely in Ely. Suffolk sees a near-Miss at Halesworth. More foolish pranks in St. Albans. A safer Shepreth crossing. Woman who lost leg in level crossing incident 15 years ago supports its closure and replacement with a bridge. WATCH VIDEO: dicing with death at Grays station. WATCH VIDEO: My leg ended up half a mile up the track. A false sense of security: in Wales, and in East Anglia? Woolly-headed jumpers at Christchurch, and no pride in Poole with Dorset's most misused level crossing. WATCH MADNESS at Matlock. Safer schools in Scotland and in Staffordshire.
Dying to get home? Don't kill yourself for it. And remember, always on (electrified lines) = always off (people).
Every week is Car Safety Week, and if you're travelling with luggage you will NOT want to 'enjoy your trip' this way! Watch the VIDEO.
Network Rail and schools pioneer new film, '18', now with over a million views, achieve school-children safety message milestones in Wales & Borders while also in Wales & Borders an innovative tool teaches children level crossing safety. And now young people get LIVE BROADCASTS to help get the safety message across.
Footpath closed for a clear and present danger between Hessle and North Ferriby in Yorkshire's East Riding. Investigations continue.
Kids, parents, begging you not to dice with death in the East Midlands - or anywhere else. "If you don't want to know the result, then look away now!"
Farmers, the only stock on the railway should be rolling, not live! Crossing abuse in Anglesey.
Autumn 2018 campaign launched as one in every seven drivers abuses level crossings. Watch 25-second VIDEO, and another from Anglia region.
Crossing the railway, on the level or underneath it, is too much for some drivers - and too much for the railway and its passengers too! Just watch this and this. See what I mean? keeping people safe on and around the railway: Always On, Suicide Prevention, Trespass, Level Crossing Safety, Keeping a Clear Head.
New timetables trigger warning to level crossing users in Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
