On the last day of the consultation period for the Network Rail Sussex Route Study Railfuture joined with local parliamentary candidates, councillors and rail campaigners in a Rail Rally at Crowborough station to press for better services and more investment for the Uckfield line.

Trains came a step closer to passing over Shillamill viaduct again on Wednesday as Devon County Council agreed to progress plans to reopen the railway to Tavistock.

Wisbech funded

The Government has funded the all important engineering study for the re-opening of the mothballed Wisbech to March line. The railway looks almost ready to use in this photograph, but this study will establish how much work is required to bring it back into passenger use.

Haverhill campaign
