The Docklands Light Railway could be extended in future, despite London mayor Boris Johnson dumping the planned new route to Dagenham Dock two years ago.
Transport for London has published a new map of potential extensions, without any accompanying publicity, and the Dagenham route is on it.
The map includes double tracking between Bow Church and Stratford.
It also includes extensions from Bank to Victoria via Charing Cross, and to Euston and St Pancras via Holborn. This idea would link the proposed High Speed Two terminus at Euston with Eurostar at St Pancras.
The map also shows a possible route from Lewisham south to Catford and Forest Hill.
