This is the way public transport users currently gain access to Lacock in Wiltshire.

Lacock is a charming vilage of historic properties owned by the National Trust.

Along with the adjacent Abbey and Fox Talbot Museum (of pioneering photography), it is a major visitor attraction.

The bus is First service 234, which links Frome, Trowbridge, Melksham and Chippenham.

Railfuture is campaigning for more frequent trains over the parallel railway line between Trowbridge and Chippenham via Melksham, which currently has only a very limited passenger service.

One day, trains might even be able to serve the former halt at Lacock, and help to encourage more people to visit this key destination by public transport.
