Britain's high-speed rail link is now open all the way to London St Pancras International and Ebbsfleet station in north Kent has opened.

But one loser is Ashford in Kent which previously had a good service to Brussels and Paris.

Railfuture is keen to see how the changes are working out for individual passengers so we have prepared a questionnaire which can be downloaded.

As an incentive for Eurostar passengers to provide us with their views, all compltede questionnaires will be put in a draw and the winner will receive a £25 gift token.

We hope you will record your experience of any Eurostar journey that you make between 1 December 2007 and 31 March 2008.

We will analyse the results and publish a report, hopefully during May 2008.

Railfuture is particularly interested in the customer experience of Eurostar now that a further 20 minutes has been cut from the journey time between London, Lille, Paris and Brussels.

Other questions we expect to be important are:

Is access to and from towns and cities north of London now easier?

Should rail be competing even more effectively in the international market?

It is expected that there will be many favourable comments but we also want to hear of problems and receive constructive comments.

Our report will ultimately be sent to Eurostar, the Association of Train Operators, the Department for Transport, and politicians at national and European level as well as international bodies.

Railfuture is a member of the European Passengers Federarion which will hold its annual general meeting and conference at the headquarters of Tube Lines, Canary Wharf, London, on Saturday 15 March.

It will be the first such event in Britain although the EPF Council has also met twice in London.

Railfuture will be welcoming rail campaigners from many other European countries who will be using the new high speed line to St Pancras and experiencing new developments in London's public transport system.

The conference fee of 60 euro (£40) will include lunch. For full details, which should be available by Christmas, please send SAE to Trevor Garrod, 15 Clapham Rd South, Lowestoft, NR32 1RQ; or log on to the EPF website  www.epf.eu
