Railfuture's Freight Group deals with Freight Service standards and development, capacity, utilization, facilities and transhipment. It liaises closely with operators, lobby groups and developers.

The development of the UK Railfreight network is a vital component of both economic development and environmental defence.  Read here about vital developments in Control Period 5 (CP5).

If you would like to raise any issues in relation to rail freight or if you are a Railfuture member and wish to join the Group, please contact the head of the Freight Group, Peter Wakefield, at peter.wakefield at railfuture.org.uk.
