These are some of the flowers in bloom in May 2010 at London’s inner city station of Homerton.

The flowers have been planted by the Friends of Homerton Station who are also planning to stage a street AGM on Monday 7 June where free coffee and widflower snacks, including lavender biscuits and poppyseed muffins, will be on offer.

John Little from the Grass Roof Company will be on hand to answer questions about the wildflowers and the wildlife they attract.

The AGM is being held from 07.30 to mid morning.

The Friends’ second poster is on display inside the station in Hackney, and they are starting to think about the next poster.

They want to involve more people in choosing designs and commissioning artists/designers/photographers.

They also hope to involve local schools.

The Friends also plan to be at St John's Fete, Hackney, on 10 July 2010 from around 10.30am.
