Bombardier's Derby factory is working hard to produce new trains for London.
The factory is producing more trains in a week than has ever been made on site before, says Bombardier.
The company expects to complete 100 carriages this month for Transport for London, Chiltern Railways and London Midland.
Derby is currently making class 379 Electrostars for Stansted Express services (run by National Express East Anglia), class 172 Turbostars for both Chiltern and London Midland as well as trains for the Underground's Victoria line and sub-surface lines.
But while production is currently at a peak, all but the London Underground sub-surface lines contract will be complete by the end of the year.
So Bombardier is seeking additional work for Derby and is eagerly awaiting announcements to be made about key British rail projects.
