The Transportation Research Group (TRG) is looking for railusers aged 18 and over to take part in a questionnaire survey to explore the effectiveness of train occupancy information to encourage passengers’ behaviourchange on the platform. The questionnaire will take approximately 7-10 minutes to complete. Your responses will help us design an App to help reduce overcrowding on trains. If you have any questions, please contact Dr Jisun Kim at j.kim at soton.ac.uk.

TRG is one of the UK’s longest established and leading centres for engineering-related transport teaching and research. It was established at Southampton University in 1967 and is based at our Boldrewood Innovation Campus.

Research at TRG is wide-ranging, but with a focus on securingsustainable transport systems, in particular by examining how society shapes, and is shaped by, technological developments.
