It is nearly a year since Transport Secretary Alistair Darling asked the Strategic Rail Authority to develop plans for a national railcard.

Railfuture and Transport 2000 have been co-operating in this railcard campaign and as part of the campaign Transport 2000 has been collecting "applications" for a national railcard.

To mark the anniversary its is now planning to present them on June 17. They hope to get a bunch of MPs to come out and apply for a card and do a press release along the lines of one year on, we're still waiting.

They are trying to get in as many "applications" as possible by June 17. If you can help by filling in an application the application form can be downloaded from page 5 of http://www.transport2000.org.uk/takeaction/Fares_Campaign_Flyer.pdf
