The one-day event in London features three speakers and a series of workshops. It will be attended by representatives from rail user groups throughout the country.

Chris Austin from the Strategic Rail Authority will be speaking about Making the Case for rail.

Theo Steel, managing director of First Great Eastern, will talk about Commuting by Rail.

Paul Salveson of the Association of Community Rail Partnerships will take as his topic Reinventing the Rural Railway.

There will also be input from Railfuture chairman Peter Lawrence, Railfuture president Michael Caton, as well as Stuart Walker of Railfuture Devon and Cornwall, and Tony Smale of Railfuture Wessex.

The conference takes place at Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London WC1H 9BD (off Euston Road) and is open to everyone interested in campaigning for better rail services.

The cost is only £12 (£10 for Railfuture members), plus, if required, a hot buffet lunch for £12.
